Water Dilution Study

Evaluation of the mixing characteristics of the discharge from the Coromandel Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Whangarahi Stream.

Thames Coromandel District Council (TCDC) commissioned the evaluation of the mixing characteristics of the discharge from the Coromandel Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Whangarahi Stream. The work involved deploying instruments within the stream for a period of 4 weeks, analysis of historic and recently collected water quality data and establishment of a mixing model of the Whangarahi and Karaka stream system.
