Becoming a B-Corp

As of July 2026, we are proud to share that eCoast Consulting & Research is now a Certified B Corp™, having met B Lab’s integrated social, environmental and governance standards. This embeds our purpose and plans for positive impact in our company DNA, so that we’re aware of our impact on people and the planet.

As a Certified B Corp™,  we’re proud to be part of a community of organisations working together for change and taking part in collective action to advocate for a shared goal of a global economy that benefits people and planet.

The certification process is rigorous, covering five key impact areas including governance, workers, community, environment and customers; where organisations are required to reach a B Impact score of at least 80* our of 200 points. We are very happy to have achieved an overall score of 94.3 where the median score for ordinary businesses who complete the assessment is currently 50.9. This is a huge milestone in our journey here in Aotearoa New Zealand, and we’re looking forward to sharing more about what becoming a Certified B Corp™ means to us. Ultimately, this certification reflects our commitment to our stakeholders and gives us a great jumping off point for highlighting what we’re doing well and how we can improve.
