Ship Loading Facility Modelling in Spencer Gulf, South Australia
Golder Associates commissioned eCoast to quantify the environmental effects of a proposed ship loading facility in Spencer Gulf

To quantify the environmental effects of a proposed ship loading facility in Spencer Gulf, 5 months of field data were collected and used to calibrate hydrodynamic, wave and morphological models. The models were used to describe the change in the sediment transport regime due to combined wave and hydrodynamic effects with and without the ship loading facility in place. The models were also used to describe the extent of scouring expected to occur around the piles of the ship loading facility.
