The project considered the migration of contaminated sediments along the entrance channel from Pine Harbour Marina.
The project considered the migration of contaminated sediments along the entrance channel from Pine Harbour Marina and the impacts of disposing materials in the nearshore. Multiple seabed sediment samples were collected in and around the marina entrance. Indiscriminate sediment grain size and toxicological analysis was carried out on all samples. The work was carried out in conjunction with an ongoing resource consent case being heard within the environment court. The findings of the investigation have been used as evidence by eCoast consultants who are the expert witnesses this case.
