Offshore Submerged Breakwater Study in Port Phillip Bay, Australia
This study examined the shoreline response to offshore submerged breakwaters in Port Phillip Bay, Australia

This study examined the shoreline response to offshore submerged breakwaters at two study sites: Sandringham and Mount Martha, located on the eastern shore of Port Phillip Bay. For both sites, the effectiveness of submerged offshore reefs in terms of potential beach response was quantified using calibrated numerical models. Different reef designs under a broad range of possible future sea level conditions and waves were simulated. The study was used to produce optimal designs for coastal protection at both locations.
