PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
As part of the resource consents for the Mill Creek wind farm, pre, during and post construction monitoring was stipulated as a condition. The Makara Estuary Baseline and Construction Monitoring Plan was developed to measure biological community change and sedimentation rates within the estuary. Autumn and spring baseline surveys have been completed. Construction commenced in 2012 and the construction monitoring phase is currently underway.
