PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This observational study focussed on the collection of reliable data indicating the accumulating or eroding state of sediment comprising the Raglan Ebb Tidal Delta (Raglan Bar). The NIMROD free fall penetrometer, equipped with acceleration sensors (1.7 g, 18 g, 70 g, 250 g), tilt sensors, a pressure sensor, and a 1kHz data logger was used to sample discrete locations around the strength, and therefore grain-size, density, cohesion and pore pressure.
